Job Summary
NHFT has an exciting opportunity for a senior operational leader to join our Children and Young People's Team as an Assistant Director.
The successful candidate will be working alongside another Assistant Director and will operate under the direction and line management of the Director for Children's Services, to cover an agreed portfolio of Children's community services across the county. You will be responsible for the operational, strategic, performance and business development of these services across The Children's Care Delivery Pathway.
Main Duties of the Job
You will have an excellent track record for delivering high quality innovative services and you will demonstrate an ability to influence, engage and lead others to maintain delivery of services through an ambitious programme of transformational change.
You will have demonstrable experience of managing and leading multiple teams and ensuring that the highest standards of people management, clinical quality and financial performance are delivered across operational services. You will be one of Children's services' key links to identified commissioners and partners in the system.

Knowledge and Experience
Essential
* Relevant Clinical qualification and registration with a professional body
* Recognised management qualifications (diploma level or higher) or equivalent experience
* Evidence of leadership development through Continuous Professional Development and/or formal leadership courses
Desirable
* Educated to Masters level or equivalent experience
Skills and Abilities
Essential
* Ability to manage multiple services and their people concurrently
* Ability to conduct negotiations relating to highly complex matters with other senior managers both internal and external to the organisation.

* Wide up to date knowledge of national and local strategic direction and policy initiatives within the NHS
