Requirements
You will have an HNC in Social Services/Youth Work/ Working with Communities, or significant employability experience.
Responsibilities
As part of the Council's Employability Service/Pathfinder, Key Workers have a major role in reducing inactivity and developing employability skills in Dundee's residents. The remit includes registering, assessing, supporting, and referring clients and also delivering a customised programme of support to parents/families.
The Individual
You will have experience of supporting clients identify training needs and experience of inter-agency working and mentoring. You will have good written and oral communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills. This post is considered Regulated Work with Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update check, prior to a formal offer of employment being made by Dundee City Council.
