We are looking for a Maintenance Manager to plan and manage the inspection and maintenance of our facilities, related infrastructure, electrical and mechanical equipment, and production machinery. The goal is to ensure that our site operates without undesired disruptions and at optimal capacity levels.
You will be based in Ashford and report directly to the Head of Engineering.
This exciting position awaits you:
Strategy Design and Execution:
* Provide input to the local Operations business plan and related goals regarding production capacity, critical maintenance schedules, equipment changes, and spare parts inventory
* Adapt and implement functional strategies locally, designing and accomplishing related tactical and operational plans
Function Management:
* Lead a team of maintenance specialists responsible for completing maintenance activities at a small to medium site
* Apply preventive maintenance plans and continuous support to increase the availability of plant equipment, preventing business disruptions
* Define budgets based on maintenance requirements, including resources, materials, and duration
* Conduct audits and inspections to ensure compliance with EHS and QM policies
* Identify, recommend, and deploy improvements to correct non-compliant situations or increase productivity
* Manage spare parts inventory to improve stock and dispose of obsolete materials
* Collaborate with Procurement to select and manage suppliers
* Provide support to engineering projects regarding operative procedures and equipment/installation trials
* Complete the annual operating plan within the approved budget
People Management:
* Oversee the execution of annual human resources processes for the local Maintenance team and validate related results
* Collaborate with local Operations and regional/global E&M management teams and HR Business Partners to develop a local talent pipeline for the function
* Guide the development and promotion of talent within and outside the function
Your professional profile includes:
* University degree in Engineering or a related discipline
* Plant Engineering or Maintenance certification
* 4 to 7 years of overall work experience in manufacturing or plant operations (experience in a matrixed organisation)
* 0 to 2 years of experience in people management
* Proficiency in industrialization and engineering projects, including building, process installation, and utilities, from design stage to hand-over
* Knowledge of project management principles
* Familiarity with TPM, KPI, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and project controlling tools
* Expert in communicating on all levels
* Knowledge of process mapping and design
* Understanding of EHS rules and guidelines
* Familiarity with financial concepts (e.g., OPEX, CAPEX) and tools (e.g., SAP)
* Experience working with diverse cultures
