I am partnering with a FTSE listed business who are actively recruiting for a Fire Security Engineer. This post will sit within the companys property central support services team to ensure their commercial property stock is managed in accordance with regulatory requirements, current standards, and industry best practice.
Duties
* Audit Fire Alarm Safety Manual Logbooks across commercial and retail assets.
* Provide technical assistance to the Head of Technical Systems and Managers in daily operations.
* Ensure correct operation of Fire Alarms, Electronic Life Safety Systems, and occasionally Electronic Security Systems and System Networks.
* Advise on new property developments regarding system type, equipment manufacturers, design, and inspection upon completion.
* Travel to remote sites and participate in central support services activities like presentations, reports, costing, environmental and energy management, business case proposals, projects, and budgeting.
* Audit Fire Safety manuals and logbooks, documenting records and defects.
* Prepare and amend maintenance specifications for specialist sub:contractor contracts.
* Audit maintenance contractors and sub:contractors as required.
* Support Technical Services Managers with fit:out procedures for Fire Alarms and Security System interfacing.
Requirements
* Fire Alarm System Installation/Maintenance experience (Essential)
* Voice Alarm System Installation/Maintenance (Essential)
* Emergency Communications Installation/Maintenance (Essential)
* Access Control System/CCTV Installation/Maintenance (Desirable)
Desirables
* Experience/qualification in Engineering, Property Management, or Health and Safety
* Financial and/or project management experience
* Membership of a relevant professional body
