About ISOgenix
We are an early stage, Oxford University spinout from Prof. Matthew Wood, Dr. Carlo Rinaldi, and Dr. Catheryn Lim's research, currently based in Oxford, UK. Using a proprietary approach, we are developing precision therapies to harness the therapeutic potential of protein isoforms for the treatment of serious diseases with significant unmet medical need. We are backed by an established venture capital investor and have a clear mission to improve lives through genetic medicine. Our approach combines advanced research, state-of-the-art technologies, and a strong team of founding members with decades of experience in the field of cell and gene therapy.
Responsibilities
As a data analyst, your key responsibilities will include:
* Organising and analysing internal research data to identify key insights that will inform future research activities and business strategy.
* Gathering, organising and analysing external data, including scientific literature and databases, regulatory filings, clinical trial registries, press releases, industry reports and trends to identify both potential collaborative opportunities as well as to provide program specific recommendations and insights.
* Working collaboratively with internal and external colleagues and providing ad-hoc analytical support when required.
* Developing reports, dashboards, and visualisations to clearly communicate data-driven insights to the organisation.
* Maintaining high standards of accuracy, confidentiality, and security when handling sensitive data related to proprietary research findings.
Qualifications
To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:
Essential
* A PhD (or at least a master’s degree) in Medical Biology, Biotechnology, Genetics, or related discipline.
* Strong understanding of scientific literature, research methodologies and clinical data, and familiarity with public databases like PubMed, ClinicalTrials.gov, and other gene therapy or genetic disease- focussed databases.
* Knowledge of the biotechnology and genetic therapy landscape, including an understanding of genetic diseases and therapeutic development.
* Proven ability to conduct comprehensive literature searches and to work with and analyse large and complex datasets.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills to present complex data in a clear and concise manner.
* Attention to detail, strong organisation skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
* Enthusiastic about scientific research and its potential to make a significant impact on human health.
Desirable
* Experience in scientific writing or publishing research is a plus.
* Experience working in a biotechnology or pharmaceutical company setting.
