This is a fixed-term post of 12 months.
An opportunity exists for three Junior Clinical Fellow (ST1/2 level) appointments in Plastic Surgery and Burns within NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde. The posts would be ideal for candidates wishing to build up their skills and portfolio in order to apply for higher training in Plastic Surgery. This appointment will also involve being on the out of hours on call rota and attract a 2B banding supplement. The Plastic Surgery and Burns Unit is based at the Glasgow Royal Infirmary (GRI). Many of the services such as general trauma, burns, breast cancer, skin cancer, hand surgery, sarcoma, and perineal reconstruction are delivered on this site, with the majority of orthoplastic limb trauma, intra-oral head and neck reconstruction and paediatric surgery being delivered at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital (QEUH, Level 1 Trauma Centre) and Royal Hospital for Children. Outpatient clinics are based at GRI, QEUH, the children’s hospital and within multiple other peripheral hospitals throughout the West of Scotland.
