We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Apprentice Warehouse Operative to join our team in Sevenoaks. We are looking for someone who is hard-working, conscientious and passionate about contributing towards the smooth and professional delivery of products to customers at their building sites. This is a very physical role involving heavy lifting.
Warehouse Operative Responsibilities Include:
Packing, picking and labelling of stock for final delivery
Loading and unloading of goods from vehicles
Checking receipt of goods delivered
Recording and distribution of products to the correct location for put-away
Adhere to all Health & Safety procedures
To comply with company procedures with the use of mechanical handling equipment
Corresponding with internal departments when necessary
Assisting with stock taking
Keeping warehouse/yard area clean and tidy
In addition to these duties, you may be required to undertake other duties in line with the needs of the business, where appropriate training provided.
To become an apprentice, you must:
Be 16 years or over.
Not already be in full-time education.
You can start an apprenticeship whether you’re starting your career, want a change. You can have a previous qualification like a degree and still start an apprenticeship.
As an apprentice you’ll:
Have regular one to one sessions with a dedicated trainer either remotely or through visits to your workplace.
Learn and train for a specific job.
Get paid and receive holiday leave.
Get hands-on experience in a real job.
Study for at least 20% of your working hours.
Complete assessments during and at the end of your apprenticeship
