Birmingham City Women’s Team is seeking a dedicated Head Coach for our U21 team. This role involves delivering high-quality player development programmes aligned with the Club’s playing philosophy and identity, to ensure holistic growth both on and off the field. Key Responsibilities: Lead the design and delivery of the U21 player development curriculum, ensuring it aligns with technical and tactical standards Select players for FA Women’s Super League Academy matches and tournaments Provide pre- and post-match analysis with the club analyst Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team (MDT) on training, matchday activities, and player transitions Support talent identification and smooth player transitions alongside the Recruitment and Education Leads Manage Individual Development Plans (IDPs), ensuring regular reviews throughout the season Balance football commitments with players' academic priorities What we're looking for in you: Qualifications: Essential UEFA B Licence, Introduction to First Aid in Football Desirable UEFA A Licence, Emergency First Aid in Football Skills & Experience: Proven experience in elite football environments, senior coaching, and youth development Able to communicate effectively with players, staff, and senior management, both written and verbal Adaptability, innovation, and commitment to self-improvement and personal development Personal Qualities: Practical, flexible, and innovative approach to work Focused on individual player development and supporting the Club's football philosophy Availability for flexible working hours Additional Information: Full-time role (37.5 hours/week), including evenings and weekends Six-month probation period DBS check and medical clearance required Equal Opportunities: Birmingham City FC is committed to equality and diversity.
