The Role:
The role of Paralegal will entail playing a critical role in supporting the legal team by performing tasks that require a deeper understanding of legal procedures, research, and documentation.
Responsibilities:
* Legal document preparation and management.
* Conducting legal research on case law, statutes, regulations, and legal articles.
* Gathering information from legal databases and other sources to support the legal team in case preparation.
* Assisting in communication with clients, including scheduling meetings or interviews.
* Gathering information from clients or witnesses through interviews or questionnaires.
* Case management.
* Supporting the day-to-day operations of the legal office, including managing calendars, scheduling appointments, and organising meetings.
* Ensuring that all legal practices and documentation adhere to relevant laws and regulations.
* Maintaining confidentiality and upholding ethical standards in all tasks.
* Helping with the discovery process by organising and reviewing documents and preparing them for review.
Skills and Requirements:
* Must have a qualifying law degree
* Demonstrable understanding of the law books
* Hardworking
* Able to build rapport with ease
