Role Summary
Based in our client's city office, you will work within the expanding Business Services department as a Senior Associate. The role is a combined office-based and client-facing role, working within the department in small teams under the supervision of a manager and partner. 50% of time will be focused on year-end accounts and 50% on management accounts; as well as preparing draft tax computations. (Our client's dedicated Tax department deals with the finalization and submission of tax computations).
Responsibilities
* Production of financial statements together with well-presented working papers ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards.
* Serve as a key client contact for a diverse portfolio of clients, providing advice and support on financial matters.
* Guide and review the work of trainees and junior team members, for accuracy and completeness.
* Preparation of VAT returns.
* Preparation of management accounts.
* Utilisation of accounting software and tools to streamline operations and reporting.
* Ad hoc specialist assignments as and when they arise.
Essential Requirements
* Fully qualified ACA or ACCA.
* Able to demonstrate wide experience and competency in full accounts production from basic prime books and records through to computerised accounting packages.
* Ability to multi-task and work to budgets.
* Fully conversant with Sage and QuickBooks software.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Good English, both written and verbal.
* Good time management with ability to meet tight deadlines.
* Flexible attitude, with ability to prioritise workloads.
Desirable
* Knowledge of Pro-Audit, CCH and Microsoft Office Products, in particular Excel software.
