You will work across professional, departmental and Trust boundaries supporting patient-centred seamless care, with responsibility for assessing and guiding treatment for individual patients alcohol care needs. You will be a skilled practitioner in the assessment and management of alcohol use disorder, able to deliver care which meets up to date national guidance and research. Interventions you will provide include Identification and brief advice (IBA), medically assisted alcohol withdrawal (MAAW) and motivational interviewing (MI). You will require knowledge of substance misuse and related services more broadly to support the patient group seen by the alcohol care team.
