Digital Delivery Manager (Mobile App)

This is a hybrid role with 2 days a week at our HQ in East Croydon and 3 days working from home. However, in March 2025 we will be moving to our new HQ in Clapham Junction with 3 days a week in the office.
As a Digital Delivery Manager, you will be working closely with the Product Manager to define a clear Mobile App strategy and roadmap, ensuring the delivery of key business and member outcomes. This role involves managing a team of digital specialists, coordinating project timelines, budgets, and resources, and ensuring that initiatives are delivered on time and within scope. The Digital Delivery Manager is also responsible for identifying and mitigating risks, communicating with stakeholders, and ensuring that the project meets the organisation's strategic objectives.
Key duties & responsibilities:
* As an experienced Agile practitioner, with a strong delivery background, you can balance cross-cutting standards of quality and reliability with delivering tangible value at a lovely cadence.
* Leverage your technical understanding to assess the feasibility of new features or changes, advising on potential challenges or limitations related to architecture, performance, and scalability.
* Work closely with near-shore and off-shore development teams (e.g., iOS, Android, Backend) to ensure that app architecture supports long-term growth, integrates well with existing systems, and aligns with industry best practices.
* Help with technical decision-making, including platform choices, APIs, third-party integrations, cloud infrastructure, and any other critical technological aspects.
* You will ensure we always deliver on our performance, security, and stability objectives. With your broad view of the whole delivery lifecycle, you will target efforts where needed, to reduce defects and optimise availability of our services.
* You'll work closely with cross-functional teams, with a particularly close partnership with the TGG engineering team, product, delivery and our partner ecosystem.
Essential Skills:
* Delivery Leadership: A proven track record of technical delivery management and Agile delivery leadership.
* Agile Expertise: Skilled Agile practitioner with a proven ability to lead international teams and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
* Project Management: Strong planning, coordination, and reporting skills to ensure transparency and delivery success.
* Technical Understanding: Knowledge of app architecture, APIs, third-party integrations, and cloud infrastructure to assess feasibility and advise on challenges.
* Stakeholder Collaboration: Experience working with cross-functional teams, including engineers, product, delivery, and external partners.
* Problem-Solving: A proactive and creative approach to resolving project challenges.
Desirable Skills:
* Familiarity with managing near-shore and off-shore development teams (e.g., iOS, Android, Backend).
* Experience with ensuring performance, stability, and security in digital products.
* Knowledge of industry best practices for app development and system integration.
* Experience in launching digital products, leading both business and technical delivery efforts
