HTG-UK (Health Transportation Group UK) is one of the UK’s largest Non-Emergency Patient Transport (NEPTS) providers, carrying out over 550,000 journeys on behalf of the NHS every year. What can you expect?
Working as an Ambulance Care Assistant at our Dorchester base, you will play an important role in delivering non-emergency transport to medically eligible and vulnerable patients who would otherwise be unable to travel to vital appointments or return home, following admissions to hospital.
Whilst on shift, you will carry out your work either as a single man or in a two-man crew and will be driving and transferring patients with varying needs and mobility requirements and therefore are required to hold a Full UK Manual Driving Licence.
The main focus for an ACA is to provide comfortable, timely transport whilst delivering high standards of patient care. This is a highly rewarding role, allowing you to make a real difference to the experience of our service-users.
We have both full time, permanent positions available, working varied shift patterns (Early's, Mids & Lates) between the days of Monday to Sunday.

Salary per annum:
Based on 37.5 hours a week = £23,400

About you
First and foremost, you will be caring and compassionate. You will be flexible, reliable and able to provide comfort, as well as reassurance to our patients. A friendly smile and encouraging approach will make a real difference to the patients that you help, giving them a much-needed boost before or after an appointment.
You will be lifting and supporting patients in this role and therefore need to have a good level of physical fitness and have the willingness to undergo suitable training such as; Manual Handling, First Aid at Work, Safeguarding, Infection Control and Driver Training.
