We are looking to appoint an HR Payroll Officer who is well-organised, proactive, enthusiastic and committed individual with strong interpersonal, communication and HR tasks within our client's SEND team.
You will be required to work from 8.00 am to 4.00 pm, Monday-Friday, as this is a full-time position that starts soon.

Responsibilities for this position:

1. To provide a full range of administrative, payroll and HR related tasks
2. Understanding the legal definition of Special Education Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and be familiar with the SEND Code of Practice
3. Acting as the first point of contact for staff members with employee queries, responding in the most appropriate manner
4. Maintain and update employee records, documents and databases
5. Provide a Trust HR administration and payroll liaison service; acting as the point of contact for contractual and payroll queries
6. Prepare return to work paperwork following absence policy and escalate
7. Respond to contractual queries from managers and employees providing advice or signposting as appropriate
8. To maintain designated databases / files in accordance with Trust policies for data governance, as appropriate for the role
9. Be familiar and actively promote the Safeguarding policies of the school and Trust, ensuring the
10. completing all essential/ mandatory training in this area

Requirement skills for this role:
19. Experience of working as a HR Officer and/or HR Payroll
20. Experience of working in a school environment (desirable)
21. Right to work in the UK (ESSENTIAL)
22. 2 recent professional references
23. Knowledge of recruitment process and working with different HR websites
24. High level of IT skills and willingness to learn new systems (Google, Intermediate Word, Excel, Microsoft Outlook, Powerpoint,)
25. An enhanced DBS on the update service
26. Strong communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with students and families
27. Empathy and a supportive approach to addressing student and family concerns
