We are working with a well-established accountancy practice looking for a graduate R&D Tax Consultant. You'll support clients with their R&D tax relief claim by undertaking technical and financial assessment and diagnosis to meet the BEIS guidelines, creating of technical and financial data gathered from the diagnosis, management of the claim life cycle, consulting with HMRC, dealing with HMRC enquiries and managing clients.
This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious team player to play a crucial role in the business's ongoing growth and ambitious plans for the future. It would suit a graduate interested in tax compliance/advisory, more specifically company-focused.
The role is focused on providing R&D tax credit claims to primarily Owner Managed Businesses and the individual will be expected to prepare R&D claims and undertake Corporation Tax compliance work (all necessary training will be provided).
The successful applicant will study towards their ATT qualification, with full study support of the firm, and there will then be the potential to progress to study CTA on completion of ATT.
The R&D Tax Assistant duties will involve
* Support the R&D Team in the continued role of preparing R&D claims for the companies clients around the UK
* Prepare R&D reports and financials for manager review
* Submission of R&D reports and liaising with HMRC on progress and status of claims
* Prepare CT Computations ready for manager review
* Update internal CRM system with the progress of individuals' workflow
Experience Required
* No practical experience is required as all training will be provided.
Qualifications
* Minimum of a relevant second-class degree and a strong interest in tax ie, economics, maths, accounting & finance, business etc
