We are looking for a highly motivated, proactive self-starter to provide direct support to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The successful candidate will be able to coordinate and manage multiple pressures so that the CEO is able to concentrate on their priorities and maximize the use of their time in delivering their objectives.

Main duties of the job
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The post holder will:
* Proactively support the CEO in delivering all of their responsibilities across their Trust portfolio
* Act as a first point of contact for the Executive team, key stakeholders such as NHS England, other Health partners, and Local Government, patient/service users, MPs, and Councillors
* Prioritise incoming issues, correspondence, and concerns addressed to the CEO, which will include those of a sensitive and highly confidential nature, determining the appropriate course of action, referral, or response
* Lead on specific pieces of work, projects, and workstreams
* Draft correspondence on the CEOs behalf
* Schedule and plan visits for external stakeholders to visit LGT
* Use a high level of independent judgement to prepare or commission briefings for the CEO
* Compile information from multiple sources for analysis and presentation
* Attend some meetings with the CEO to capture actions and be responsible for subsequent tracking and delivery of such actions
* Exercise sound judgement, ensuring that key business items and decisions are identified, progressed, and followed up accordingly
* Ensure that key issues and topics are addressed appropriately

* Post graduate degree or equivalent
* Evidence of continued professional development
Experience
Essential criteria
* Significant demonstrable experience of coordinating projects in complex and challenging environments
* Significant demonstrable experience of successfully operating in a politically sensitive environment
* Significant experience of managing risks and reporting
* Experience of drafting briefing papers and correspondence for a senior audience
* Experience of monitoring budgets and business planning processes
* Demonstrated experience in a healthcare environment
* Experience of setting up and implementing internal processes and procedures
Skills and Abilities
Essential criteria
* Ability to analyse very complex issues where material is conflicting and drawn from multiple sources
* Numerate and able to understand complex financial issues combined with deep analytical skills
* Ability to prepare and produce concise communications for dissemination to a broad range of stakeholders as required
* Demonstrated capability to plan over short, medium, and long-term timeframes and adjust plans and resource requirements accordingly.
