Responsibilities: As a Band 6 Locum Diabetes Dietitian you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive nutritional assessments and developing individualized care plans for patients with Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes. This includes providing dietary advice, monitoring patient progress, and adjusting care plans as necessary to achieve optimal health outcomes. You will manage outpatient clinics, ensuring timely and effective nutrition support for patients. You will collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure a multidisciplinary approach to patient care. Additionally, you will maintain accurate patient records, participate in clinical audits, and contribute to the development of diabetes dietetic services. Your role will also involve providing education and support to patients and their families, ensuring they understand their nutritional needs and how to manage their diabetes effectively. Qualifications and Experiences: Degree in Dietetics and registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). Proven experience in diabetes management and running outpatient clinics. Strong clinical skills in nutritional assessment, care planning, and intervention for diabetes. Experience with both Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
