Are you a qualified English Teacher looking for a full-time teaching role from January? We have an exciting opportunity to join a supportive Secondary Academy in South West London.
The role
In this role you will be teaching English to pupils across KS3 and KS4 with the potential of some KS5 classes depending on experience. Students follow an engaging, creative, thematic curriculum based on the National Curriculum, which will be personalised to their learning needs. You will be supporting students working towards GCSE exams following standard examination programmes. Students at the school currently achieve good results at GCSE and you will work closely with the English department to maintain and improve the teaching and learning to allow students to make the highest levels of progress. The school use a digital platform for planning to ensure workload is not excessive and the department work closely together for assessments and monitoring.
The school are looking for a teacher with the following:
* Qualified Teacher Status
* High expectations and the ability to motivate students in the classroom
* Understanding of the requirements for high quality teaching
* Ability to use ICT effectively
* Ability to fulfil the requirements of a Form Tutor
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and an ability to relate to people at all levels
* Excellent administration skills and the ability to meet deadlines
