Job summary Previous applicants need not apply The Radiology Department is seeking enthusiastic new member of staff to join the Radiology Portering team. We have a professional and dedicated imaging team committed to providing a first class service to our patients and clinical users. We are a busy department working 12hrs a day across 7 days per week and the successful candidates will be required to work evenings and weekends on a rotational basis. Main duties of the job The post involves the transporting of patients from all areas of the hospital to the different departments within Radiology. We also cover mortuary transfers and have a dedicated van which the team drive. The post holder will be expected to liaise with the ward/radiographic staff regarding the safe transfer of the patient including any equipment (e.g. drip stands/infusion pumps/chest drains etc) and personal belongings. The post holder will be expected to maintain the privacy and dignity of patients at all times and to behave in a manner demonstrating care and compassion to patients and their escorts.
