Time 4 Recruitment requires a Permanent Store Manager based in Cheltenham, working for a well-established, UK-wide retail company. Our client is a leading specialist in fishing stores offering a range of fishing gear, tackle, rods, reels, equipment, and clothing.
As Store Manager, your main role will be to work alongside the Area Manager and closely with all other Store Managers around the UK. Your focus will be to analyze all work functions within the business enabling successful achievement of business objectives and KPIs.
TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE YOU MUST BE AN EXPERIENCED, PASSIONATE ANGLER WITH FISHING PRODUCT KNOWLEDGE.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years' experience in a retail environment with a proven capability as a driven and results-oriented individual. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong organizational skills are essential.
You will be an enthusiastic member of staff who is able to motivate others and build effective teams while pushing forward and driving for results.
In order to apply for this role, you must be from an angling background (enjoying fishing on a regular basis).
Responsibilities:
1. Ownership and delivery of all branch KPIs.
2. Develop business strategies to raise our customers' pool, expand store traffic, and optimize profitability.
3. Meet sales targets by training, motivating, mentoring, and providing feedback to staff.
4. Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service.
5. Ensure compliance with all health and safety requirements.
6. Complete store administration and banking ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
7. Maintain outstanding store and visual merchandising standards.
8. Report, monitor, and act on buying trends, customer needs, and opportunities.
9. Conduct personnel performance appraisals to inspire great performance, assess training needs, and build career paths.
10. Deal with all issues that arise from staff or customers, organizing working rotas and holidays.
11. Liaise with Marketing to provide support for the smooth implementation and maintenance of the Marketing strategy.
12. Additional store manager duties as required.
