Love live events? Passionate about building great relationships?
If you're driven and skilled in building relationships, we want you to join us as an Account Manager in our close-knit team at Conference Badges.
If you're excited by the thought of supporting world-class brands at incredible global events - from the Coronation to COP26, and from automotive launches in the UK to launching a floating city on the Red Sea - this could be your perfect role! We do this for many of the world’s best-known brands, as well as thousands of smaller ones.
We're looking for somebody with the ability to figure stuff out. You don't need to be the 'complete package'. Perhaps you've not directly done everything listed below, but know and can demonstrate that you can apply yourself wholeheartedly. Perhaps you have some other great skills to bring to the table that could benefit this role... we want to hear from you.
We believe that the name badge is a vital element of any business event. It enables attendees to identify each other, work out common ground, establish connections and build relationships that can potentially transform lives and organisations. These are the reasons why live events exist.
Using QR codes or contactless technology the name badge can also be a data collector - a means of keeping track of what thousands of attendees are interested in. And the quality of the name badge, combined with the way in which it’s delivered, are central to the attendee’s first impression of the event.
We love our industry. The buzz of pulling off a challenging event and seeing it unfold makes every day different and interesting. It’s also hard work, involves a lot of juggling tasks, and is deadline-driven. To be successful in this role you will need to be organised, diligent and keep a positive mindset.
We’re looking for a candidate who feels they share these values. Importantly, they will be likeable and able to build trust with customers by employing a consultative selling process.
YOUR MISSION:
* Be the friendly first point of contact for event enquiries - listening, advising, and drawing up unique solutions to customer needs.
* Proactively identify and develop new business opportunities, including attending industry events, connecting with prospective clients and working on outbound lead generation campaigns.
* Prepare engaging, detailed proposals and see them through from start to successful delivery.
* Collaborate closely with our production and tech teams to ensure flawless execution.
* Manage invoicing and payment tracking, keeping projects organised and on schedule.
* Actively gather client feedback and champion continuous improvement across our service.
Who we're looking for:
You don't need to be an expert in event technology yet. But you do need to be curious, resourceful, and a quick learner.
Experience in B2B account management, events, print, or technology would be fantastic. But if you haven't done everything listed here and yet have demonstrated that you're skilled, disciplined and motivated in your approach, we still want to hear from you.
You’ll thrive here if you:
* Have exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.
* Are organised, detail-oriented, and thrive in a deadline-driven environment.
* Love working closely with customers and providing outstanding service.
* Look for continuous improvement in your work methods.
* Are genuinely excited by tech and enjoy learning about new solutions.
* Hold a UK driving licence.
* Have previous experience or genuine interest in event tech or print industries.
Why join Conference Badges?
* Opportunity to work with world-leading brands on amazing, varied, and impactful events.
* Experience working in an innovative, unique company - helping make events be more effective and sustainable.
* Competitive salary based on experience. £34k to £44k p.a. on-target earnings including performance bonuses.
* Hybrid working opportunity after training period. Up to 3 days pw remote working.
* 22 days annual leave in addition to bank holidays, with bonus days added in year 2, 3 and 4.
* Private health insurance after 1 year.
* Company pension.
* Relaxed, supportive, and fun team environment—your ideas will directly shape the future of the company.
* Ongoing professional development opportunities and training support.
