We are looking for an experienced Senior Practice Educator Nurse to join the North West Endoscopy Academy. This is an exciting opportunity to lead the Nurse team.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
1. Developing and delivering Nurse training programmes, HCA programme, and Practice Education Community of Practice including JAG courses such as Endo 1 and Endo 3.
2. Delivering expert specialist evidence-based care including development, assessment, planning, implementing, and evaluating programmes of evidence-based nursing care.
3. Teaching on NWEA courses, e.g., Endo 1 and ELERT.
4. Effective leadership/staff management of junior colleagues.
5. Traveling to different sites across the North West to deliver courses to Endoscopy nurses.
6. Supporting the network of Practice Educators to develop their teaching skills further and encourage faculty development.
7. Maintaining personal accountability for professional and ethical actions and ensuring compliance with NMC code of professional conduct.
8. Providing teaching to clinical staff who attend the Northwest Academy.
9. Planning and administering courses.
10. Providing expert nursing care and advice to support patients and staff.
11. Operating as a clinical specialist and expert practitioner in issues relating to the identified area of nursing.
12. Directing and delegating nursing care based on accurate assessment and evaluation.
13. Taking consent for investigative procedures, manipulating equipment, and performing advanced clinical skills.
14. Acting as a change agent for the development of the service.
15. Assisting in the audit and data collection required for developing evidence-based nursing.
16. Providing verbal and written reports to appropriate managers and clinical leads.
17. Monitoring the effectiveness of the service and courses by continuous audit.
18. Ensuring that equipment is maintained and serviced as required.
19. Developing protocols, documentation, standards, and guidelines to enable best practice for the care of patients.
20. Ensuring effective and efficient use of financial resources, contributing to increasing the efficiency and controlling cost within the departmental budget.
