About Us The Youth Emotional Support (YES) service works with young people aged 11 to 18 to help ensure that they are supported to achieve their potential. Experience and Skills Key Skills: Good verbal communication skills for answering telephone queries effectively and communicating with colleagues and customers face to face and virtually. Clear and effective written communication skills to process data and financial information, to write non-standard correspondence and respond to emails appropriately. Good numeracy skills to work with figures and data to make sound and accurate financial calculations and data collection, working methodically. Sound and accurate IT skills including Word and Excel (or equivalent) for daily office duties such as using e-mail, processing documents or updating spreadsheets. Good analytical and problem-solving skills to analyse specialist information and draw practical conclusions and appropriate actions with an understanding of relevant policies and procedures. For example, to process referrals, upload to relevant systems and notify service users and referrers. Ability to embrace change and adapt to changing situations and new ways of working positively and effectively. Including the ability to learn new systems and processes. Qualifications and/or experience: 4 GCSEs with A-C / 4-9 passes including Maths and English, or equivalent qualification or experience demonstrating that level of numeracy and literacy. Experience of working in an office environment. Relevant technical knowledge of procedures and practices associated with delivering an administrative service. Sound and accurate overall IT knowledge and experience in using Microsoft Office.
