We are seeking a dynamic and innovative individual with a passion for learning to join our team as a 1st Line Network Engineer. In this role, you will have the opportunity to design, implement, and maintain our expanding network infrastructure. As a member of our dedicated team, you will collaborate on creating scalable, reliable, and efficient network architectures that align with our business goals and service level agreements.
This position is within the Network Operation Centre team, offering technical support for LAN/WAN and reporting directly to the Network Services Team Leader. We are looking for candidates with at least three years of experience in delivering Fortinet/Cisco and/or Juniper WAN and LAN solutions. Familiarity with essential tools like PRTG and Visio is a must, while knowledge of VMWARE technologies is advantageous.
Your responsibilities will encompass a diverse range of tasks for our clients, including:
1. Resolving trouble tickets
2. Designing systems
3. Implementing solutions
4. Providing ongoing support
5. Developing detailed configuration designs
6. Testing implementation plans
7. Facilitating integration to ensure successful project delivery
8. Contributing to pre-sales activities and participating in pre-build stages
9. Providing initial on-site support (occasional visits to customer sites or Data Centres)
Minimum requirements include:
* At least three years' experience delivering Fortinet/Cisco and/or Juniper WAN and LAN solutions
* CCNA Certified
* Experience with PRTG and Visio
* Experience troubleshooting OSPF and BGP WANs
* Experience in designing, planning, and implementing network systems (simple designs - drawing Visio diagrams of single or two circuit deployments)
* Live locally to the office and have own transport
