As part of the Engineering team you will spearhead the manufacturing of their patented retail automation system ready for installation into their in:Five branded, technology driven, convenience stores. Key Responsibilities: Hands-on Engineering: Lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams in the assembly and installation of complex machinery, both in-house and on-site. Process Optimisation: Continuously improve manufacturing processes and quality standards through innovative solutions and lean methodologies. Technical Expertise: Conduct in-depth feasibility studies and select the most suitable manufacturing tools and equipment to maximise efficiency and productivity. Problem-Solving Maestro: Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues in production equipment, implementing effective solutions to minimise downtime and optimise performance. Rigorous Testing and Validation: Ensure product excellence by performing comprehensive testing and validation of mechanical systems to meet stringent specifications. Technical Documentation: Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, including manufacturing process flows and quality control manuals, to streamline operations and ensure consistency. Knowledge Sharing: Empower production staff by providing comprehensive training and support on new equipment and processes, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement. Data-Driven Decision Making: Monitor key production metrics and leverage data analytics to identify opportunities for improvement, driving continuous innovation and efficiency gains. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Technology, or a related field. 5 years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment. Proficiency in industry-standard CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks) and a deep understanding of mechanical design principles. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to tackle complex challenges and develop innovative solutions. Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and quality control processes to optimize operations and ensure product excellence.
