Finance Business Partner, Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire (Hybrid working)
£65,000 - £75,000 per annum plus benefits, including bonus
The Finance Business Partner will work closely with finance and non-finance teams to support, develop, and deliver the strategic, financial, and operational plans of the business.
You will be responsible for financial leadership of the department, covering all aspects of investments (including both capex and opex spend), ensuring appropriate financial focus, rigour, insight, and challenge in order to support delivery of the plan and help identify opportunities and mitigate risks.
Key Duties:
1. Partner and support the various Heads of Departments (non-finance) through robust financial analysis of historic and forecast performance, providing insight and challenge to identify efficiency, productivity, value-adding, or cost-saving opportunities.
2. Ownership of management accounting month-end process and ensuring appropriate operational insight is available at month-end, which will be presented at various forums and meetings.
3. Lead the preparation of budgets and forecasts with a focus on ensuring a bottom-up build by job category to enable detailed reporting throughout the year and a clear understanding of risks and opportunities associated with delivery.
4. Support business cases and investment appraisal.
5. Ensure teams understand and act on performance reporting, including regular reviews and development of action plans. Work with reporting teams such as process efficiency and reporting team to ensure reporting is relevant and insightful.
6. Conduct ad-hoc analysis as required.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will be fully qualified (ACA/CIMA/ACCA) and have demonstrable experience within a Finance Manager or similar commercial role. You will have commercial awareness and be able to demonstrate the implementation of added value and making a difference. Strong communication skills are key, with the ability to present complex financial data and concepts in a clear and concise way to non-finance professionals. #J-18808-Ljbffr
