We are seeking a Warehouse Team Leader to join our team at our Chorley site. Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, the successful candidate will be a highly motivated and diligent individual with exceptional communication skills. This is a hands-on role requiring leadership from the shop floor, combined with some light administrative duties.
You will assist the Warehouse supervisor to oversee the warehouse supply chain process, liaising with customer care, stock control, and planning. Responsibilities include ensuring all warehouse processes integrate effectively to deliver the planned volume and correct quality of product whilst maintaining a safe working environment.
Responsibilities
Ensure storage areas are kept tidy at all times.
Ensure all items moved, shipped or received are logged in the correct manner
Ensure all loads are picked with maximum efficiency
Ensure all loads are loaded
Load / unload goods from the truck
Check all loads for damaged or missing items
Responsible for the overall warehouse process
Accountable for the day-to-day performance of the warehouse.
Ensuring communication between departments is ongoing
Manage and provide leadership/support to staff within the warehouse
Ensuring storage areas and warehouse is kept tidy and able to identify areas where processes could be improved.
Ensuring Production Key Performance Indicators production targets are met.
Accountable for ensuring standards
Requirements and skills
Proven experience as a warehouse supervisor or team leader, preferably in a similar industry.
An appreciation of the demands of meeting Company Objectives and Targets
Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, safety regulations, and inventory management.
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Ability to motivate a team and foster a positive work environment.
Knowledge of HACCP requirements
Counter balance and reach FLT licenses desirable
The Role Monday to Friday
40 hours per week
06:00 - 15:00
