Job Summary: Manage the finance office and function for the Union, providing financial performance information and producing management accounts and other reports as required.
Main Job Responsibilities:
* Provide timely financial performance information to the management team.
* Manage the finance office and function for the Union and its trading company.
* Produce management accounts and other reports as required.
* Support the annual budget setting and preparations.
* Manage the financial year end reporting and audit process.
* Provide support for budget holders in managing departmental finances.
* Ensure Union compliance in all matters pertaining to finance.
Requirements:
* Qualified Accountant (ICAEW, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA).
* Strong technical accounting knowledge of charity sector accounting.
* Experience of monitoring administrative systems and procedures.
* Experience of managing a finance function or sufficient combined experience, skills, and knowledge.
* Excellent communication, inter-personal, and presentation skills.
* Ability to work as part of a team and monitor financial and administrative systems.

Salary: £44,128 progressing to £55,755.
