This is a great opportunity for a talented individual to work on market leading bespoke products for the global market and help achieve goals.
Primary responsibilities:
• Weld and fabricate a variety of bespoke components using stainless steel, nickel alloys and mild steel materials, gauge of sheet metal generally between 0.9mm & 6mm thickness.
• Weld and fabricate frameworks from mild steel rolled, stainless steel, hollow section and angle iron to a high standard.
• Read engineering drawings and translate that into an end product with minimum supervision.
• Achieve a high standard of finish/tolerance on bespoke fabricated products.
• Complete problem logs regarding issues with drawings and materials.
• Carry out site work when necessary.
Key skills and qualifications:
• Apprentice trained (City & Guilds or NVQ equivalent in fabrication and welding) and/or time served fabricator / welder.
• Previous experience in the welding and fabrication of bespoke products, including sheet metal, working within a light / medium fabrication working environment.
• Good MIG, TIG and spot-welding skills are essential, the interview will include a weld test.
• Have good calculation skills and have the ability to work to fine tolerances.
• Highly motivated with a team orientated work style
• Accuracy and attention to detail.
• Willingness to travel if required.
