Urban Designer job available with a consultancy that has an ambitious 3-year growth plan and a robust project pipeline across residential, renewable energy, and community sectors. Role & Responsibilities
* Develop masterplans for projects of varying sizes, from concept through outline and reserved matters planning applications
* Take a lead role in the management of projects
* Work on large-scale masterplans and residential layout design primarily and other complex projects across various sectors
* Create strategic documents, such as vision statements and design codes, to guide and protect project development
* Work directly with clients
* Collaborate with the Urbanism team and manage small teams, while also working independently
Required Skills & Experience
* Qualifications: Degree, Masters, or Diploma in Urban Design, Architecture, or a related field within the Built Environment
* Possess a minimum of 2 years of UK project experience
* Prior experience in private practice, consultancy, or commercial housebuilding; detailed design/RMA experience preferred
* Proficiency in CAD software; knowledge of Vector Works and/or SketchUp is a plus
* Familiarity with local authority guidelines and planning systems
* Self-driven, detail-oriented, with strong communication skills for effective collaboration
