Ribble Court specializes in high-quality nursing and residential dementia care on separate floors, with a person-centred approach that respects and honours residents’ individual needs and preferences.
As a Senior Care Practitioner Nights, your responsibilities will include:
* Conducting Regular Nighttime Checks: Monitoring residents throughout the night to ensure their safety, comfort, and well-being, addressing any needs promptly and professionally.
* Personal Care and Assistance: Assisting residents with personal care needs during nighttime hours, including helping with mobility, repositioning, and ensuring restful sleep environments.
* Medication Administration: Safely administering nighttime medications as required, following care plans and keeping accurate records.
* Monitoring Health and Responding to Emergencies: Observing residents for any signs of distress or changes in health, responding quickly to emergencies, and notifying on-call medical staff if necessary.
* Supporting and Supervising Night Staff: Leading and supporting the night care team, ensuring tasks are completed, and guiding colleagues with care and professionalism.
* Maintaining Records and Documentation: Documenting care activities, updates, and any incidents in residents’ records, ensuring accurate information is available for day staff.
* Promoting a Calming Nighttime Environment: Creating a peaceful, safe, and comfortable setting for residents to ensure restful nights.
* Communicating with Day Staff: Providing detailed handovers to day staff, noting any changes in residents’ conditions or care needs during the night.
This role is vital in delivering high-quality, person-centred care overnight, ensuring our residents receive compassionate and professional support around the clock.

*Overtime is paid for working over fulltime hours. Free meals are given if working over an 8 hour shift and are subject to terms and conditions. Discounts are accessed using our ‘Reward Me’ app. Flexible pay is available via ‘WAGESTREAM’.
What are we looking for?
* Supervisory or leadership experience in a residential or nursing home setting.
* A Level 3 qualification in Health & Social Care (or willingness to work toward one).
* Strong record-keeping skills, with confidence in using care management technologies.
* Ability to stay calm and provide clear guidance to colleagues in challenging situations.
* A positive, compassionate, and flexible approach to working night shifts according to residents' needs.
