Location: Liverpool Centre Salary: £102 to 128.42 per day Contract Type: Part-Time Start Date: 03/03/2025 Closing Date: 28/02/2025 About Us: We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor with previous experience to join our team and support the delivery of outstanding lessons in the absence of regular teaching staff. Role Overview: As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of lessons during the absence of the class teacher. You will supervise students across various subjects, following lesson plans and maintaining a positive and productive learning environment. Key Responsibilities: Supervise students in classrooms during the absence of the class teacher. Follow provided lesson plans and ensure students stay on task. Manage classroom behaviour in accordance with school policies. Provide support to students as needed, including those with additional needs. Ensure that students complete assigned work and maintain focus throughout the lesson. Report any concerns regarding student behaviour or progress to the relevant teaching staff. Liaise with teachers and other staff to ensure the smooth running of the school day. Essential Skills and Qualifications: Previous experience working in a school or similar setting is required. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to maintain a positive learning environment. A proactive and adaptable approach to work. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. Desirable: A relevant qualification in education or childcare (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification). Experience supporting students with additional needs.
