You will take a principal role in advancing the Trust’s digital agenda, providing direction and nursing leadership for digital transformation across the organisation.
In this role, you will encourage and support clinical colleagues to embrace digital change, ensuring transformation is innovative and responsive with a clear focus on the quality of staff and patient experience.
You will be someone with demonstrable digital knowledge, project and operational delivery, excellent organisational, communication and problem-solving skills and a commitment to continuous improvement, utilising the Trust’s quality improvement methodology, Improving Together.
The CNIO is responsible for strategic and operational nursing leadership in the development, deployment, re-engineering, optimisation and integration of clinical information systems to support nursing and patient care.
The post holder will provide strategic clinical advice and guidance, working collaboratively with key stakeholders, to provide direction and nursing leadership to lead digital transformation across the Trust.
A key aspect of this role will be to encourage and support clinical colleagues to embrace transformational change associated with the digital agenda and to act as a liaison between the Trust’s clinical collective and the IM&T digitisation programme.
The CNIO will pioneer new ways of working and promote the “art of the possible”. They will lead on the promotion, innovation and transformation of clinical services and pathways using information and technologies across nursing, midwifery, and allied health professionals’ (AHPs) workforces to support and improve:
1. Patient outcomes and efficiency
2. Clinical safety
3. Integrated care across partners and commissioners
4. Digital empowerment of patients and citizens
5. Benefits realisation of digital initiatives
The post holder will provide expert and senior clinical advice into the Digital Transformation Programme, taking the lead on projects as appropriate.
The post holder will have management and budgetary responsibilities for teams within the wider IM&T portfolio.
