The Link School is recognised nationally as one of the leading schools in Alternative Provision. It supports the diverse needs of young people in Sunderland, many of whom are extremely vulnerable and challenging. We are seeking to appoint two enthusiastic and suitably qualified members of staff who have the commitment to work proactively in collaboration and in partnership with parents, learners, and external agencies in the best interests of the learners and their families/extended networks.
The school offers a supportive working environment, a strong commitment to CPD and career opportunities. We are a Centre of Excellence for Inclusion and a Platinum Anti-Bullying School. The school promotes well-being and work-life balance, which is at the heart of the school’s ethos. We have timetabled our week to allow whole school PPA on Friday afternoons, emotional well-being twilights, family-friendly policies, and other staff benefits highlighted in our staff well-being policy.
The Link School delivers full-time alternative education to learners across the City of Sunderland. The postholders will be part of a professional team maintaining effective communication and arranging interventions.
If you would like to discuss the post further, please contact Donna Walker at donna.walker@schools.sunderland.gov.uk or ring 0191 561 5777.
Application forms and further details are available by emailing Ms Caroline Granton, Director of Resources, Link School, at caroline.granton@schools.sunderland.gov.uk, to whom completed applications should be returned.
The school is fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share in this commitment.
