Job Description
Are you self-motivated, flexible, and passionate about delivering excellent services and driving positive change? Do you thrive in a collaborative environment that values teamwork, inclusion, and respect? We are looking for a Planning Enforcement Officer to join our team. We deal with a wide range of planning and environmental issues and are a committed team that has a strong record of taking proactive enforcement.
The team uses their full range of skills in an effective and innovative way to secure improvements for residents in the City. You will possess strong persuasion, negotiation, and communication skills and will be adept at advising customers on how to ensure compliance while ensuring that assessments of harm and expediency are conducted appropriately.
The role will involve taking appropriate enforcement action where necessary. This includes attending court proceedings, committee hearings, and dealing with enforcement appeals. Being a confident decision maker and having the ability to engage with all key stakeholders while maintaining a high standard of professionalism is key. This is a real opportunity for the right person to join a strong, efficient team whose focus is to deliver a high-quality service.
