Purpose
The People Partner will be a key member of the Spabreaks.com senior management team for a 12 month fixed term period, and will be responsible for providing front line, generalist human resources and office management support to Spabreaks.com and a small sales team from Your Golf Travel.
Responsibilities
* Deliver the 2025 People Plan created by the People Partner.
* Be a trusted business partner to the leadership team and managers across the business.
* Working in conjunction with the wider HR team and providing group support where necessary.
* Responsible for the full employee lifecycle, from sourcing and selecting new employees, delivering a great onboarding experience through to issuing contracts of employment, updating the HR database, letters, references and exit interviews.
* Responsible for the administration process for the full payroll including administration, inputting and uploading of data, liaising with the external payroll provider, reviewing and checking payroll/payslips before payment, and responding to ad-hoc queries from managers or employees regarding pay.
* Maintain the delivery of the performance management framework (in conjunction with the wider Group HR team), including sourcing training for managers in appraisals and objective setting, and managing the interim and end of year review process.
* Coach and support managers on business and functional issues, challenging where appropriate, to determine the most appropriate course of action.
* Responsible for the People budget for Spabreaks.com.
* Be responsible for recruitment.
* Lead on key business initiatives, coordinate incentives, charitable events, lunch and learns and other wellbeing activities.
* Manage the day to day running and maintenance of the office including ordering supplies, managing the appliances and service providers, and ensuring it remains as a safe working environment (whilst liaising with the Chief Customer Officer).
* Act as nominated Health and Safety representative, managing all H&S requirements including fire safety and accidents/incidents investigations.
* Implement the annual staff survey, report back on engagement scores and comparing 2024 results.
* Managing the mobile phone contracts.
* Manage employee/employment data and feedback to the Managing Director and SMT - identify and analyse key trends.
* Keep the Managing Director, CFO and Founder up to date with any key employment law changes or relevant upcoming trends (in conjunction with the wider Group HR team).
* Work collaboratively and develop excellent working relationships with the Senior Management Team (SMT).
* Facilitate, organise and participate in the monthly and quarterly business updates, and help coordinate company events including socials and staff parties.
* Be the communication champion for the business ensuring the team is well informed and key messages are communicated in a timely and appropriate manner.
Requirements
* Full-time, 12 month fixed term contract
* CIPD qualification/equivalent or working towards is desirable.
* Previous experience in a standalone generalist HR role within a commercial environment.
* Previous experience in short-term/fixed-term consultant roles would be advantageous.
* A travel background or experience within the travel or leisure industry would be advantageous
* Calm and solution-focused, a team player
* First aider, mental health first aider and fire marshall training would be advantageous
* Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to coach and challenge stakeholders
* L&D or organisational development experience would be an advantage
* Solid knowledge of employment legislation and application
