Principal Designer Job in Winchester, Hampshire
An opportunity has arisen for a Principal Designer to join a leading practice renowned for high-end residential and historic projects. The successful candidate will oversee Building Regulations and safety compliance, working on prestigious projects that blend heritage conservation.

They are now seeking a Principal Designer to join their team.
Role & Responsibilities
* Lead and manage design compliance under the Building Safety Act
* Advise architectural teams on Building Regulations
* Develop compliance and safety services
* Maintain strong client relationships and support Duty Holder responsibilities
* Ensure quality assurance and monitor project schedules
* Mentor staff and provide training on regulations
* Attend project meetings and collaborate with external teams.
Required Skills & Experience
* Experience in construction, compliance, or health & safety
* Strong knowledge of the Building Safety Act 2022 and Building Regulations
* Understanding of CDM Regulations 2015
* Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills
* Degree in Architecture, Building Surveying, or Construction Management
* Membership in RICS, CABE, RIBA, CIAT, BSCF, or CIOB.
