Aurora Wilden View is a beautiful, purposeful school set in a acre site with huge potential as we celebrate our one year anniversary since opening. We want to offer the best for our young people and this means enhancing our curriculum offer and ensuring our young people have access to a wide range of pathways to allow them to move to the next stage of their development.
The Role:
We are looking for a passionate, inspirational and engaging Teacher – KS3/4/5 to deliver high quality teaching and learning experience to our wonderful young people both inside and outside our classrooms. Our therapeutic approach based upon PACE and Thrive, helps our students feel safe to break down barriers and access their learning in our home from home setting.
We recognise our young people want the same opportunities as their peers and we are therefore taking all the best parts of mainstream education and making it even better within our specialist environment. We are now ready to further develop our curriculum and are looking for a teacher to work collaboratively with our existing teaching staff. We are looking for additional teachers to teach: Computing, Humanities, Maths, English, Life Skills, PSHE and/or PE (Any combination of subjects would be considered)

Whether you are experienced teacher or an Early Career Teacher, we recognise that relationships are key and putting the right person with our pupils is the most important thing. Therefore, we want the best person for the role to meet the needs of our young people.
We are seeking an exceptional individual who is not only highly motivated but also possesses the following experience and skills:
1. A fervent desire to enhance the lives and skills of our students.
2. Ability and Experience to deliver engaging learning experiences for SEMH learners
3. Experience or awareness of Thrive and Therapeutic teaching approaches.
4. The ability to lead on the development of curriculum areas up to and including Post .
Key duties:
5. The successful candidate will be required to teach a range of these curriculum areas as well as develop the Long term, medium term and short term curriculum alongside our Senior Team.
6. Contribute to the delivery and development of the curriculum, having regard to the educational, physical and social needs of the students within a learning environment.
7. Work collaboratively with other members of staff as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
8. Maintain and use short, medium and long term plans in delivering the curriculum.
9. Set, monitor and review personalised targets that will optimise learning for each individual.
10. Monitor, assess, review and report on the progress and work of students to parents, team members, senior staff, examination and funding bodies through reports and identified meetings as directed and as is required through school policies and procedures.
11. Maintain knowledge through training and research where appropriate and take responsibility for own professional development.
12. Develop lesson plans analysing and self-reflecting on the outcomes.
13. Contribute to the review of Statements and EHC plans, PEP and LAC reviews.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential:
14. PGCE, Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent teaching qualification and evidence of in-service training
15. Experience of working with pupils with SEMH or ASC needs or significant SEND and challenging behaviour
16. Experience of delivering up to GCSE and Post-
Desirable:
17. Postgraduate diploma in SEN
18. Experience of successfully delivering a differentiated curriculum to pupils with a wide range of needs
19. Experience of teaching in a specialist environment
