JOB: Quality Manager
LOCATION: Dorset
TERM: Permanent
SALARY: £55,000-£60,000 per annum
My client are specialists in the design and manufacture of a range of products using different processes across various industries in the Dorset area. The successful candidate will have a strong knowledge of the ISO9001 standard and be experienced in developing and maintaining the Quality Management System.
The Quality Manager will ideally have the following attributes:
1. Extensive experience in Quality Assurance
2. Engineering background - preferably HNC qualified or equivalent work-based experience
3. Strategic and methodical mindset
4. Excellent communication skills - verbal and written
5. Good knowledge of ISO9001 standard
6. Ensuring compliance with quality standards and procedures
7. Experience in a lean manufacturing environment or Six Sigma
8. Good problem-solving skills with the use of RCA tools
9. Innovative, creative, and good leadership qualities
The Quality Manager role will involve:
1. Developing and managing the QMS in relation to ISO9001
2. Leading Continuous Improvement
3. Training and mentoring staff within the quality department
4. Streamlining quality processes and procedures
5. Liaising with a variety of departments and external stakeholders
6. Attending staff meetings
7. Ensuring compliance with all policies and procedures
8. Conducting internal audits
