Are you an experienced Credit Controller looking for your next opportunity? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a keen eye for detail? We are looking for a dedicated and motivated Credit Controller to join our team.
Responsibilities:
* Manage the company’s credit control process, ensuring prompt collection of outstanding invoices.
* Monitor customer accounts to ensure payments are made on time and follow up on overdue payments.
* Maintain accurate records of customer communication and payment arrangements.
* Liaise with internal teams, including sales and finance, to resolve disputes and address customer queries.
* Prepare and send statements and reminders to customers.
* Review and assess customer credit limits and payment terms to mitigate financial risk.
* Report on debtor status to senior management, providing insights into payment trends and potential issues.
* Implement and maintain effective credit control procedures to reduce bad debt.
* Handle escalations and take necessary legal actions when required.
Requirements:
* Proven experience in credit control or a similar finance-related role.
* Strong communication and negotiation skills.
* Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers and internal teams.
* Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
* A high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
* Strong understanding of credit control principles and financial regulations.
* Proficiency in using accounting software
* A proactive, problem-solving attitude.
