Senior Electrical Engineer

Our client, a leader in engineering solutions for the food, beverage, personal care, and homecare industries, is seeking a Senior Electrical (EC&I) Engineer to join their team in Warrington. Requirements:
1. HNC in Electrical/Electronic Engineering with relevant industry experience.
2. 5+ years in electrical process system design, review, and engineering.
3. Strong experience in control panel design, testing, and hazardous area compliance (ATEX).
4. Proficiency in AutoCAD & Microsoft Office.
5. Expertise in control systems (Siemens/Rockwell) and industrial networks (Profibus, Profinet, AS-i, Ethernet).
6. Hands-on experience with instrumentation (flow, level, pressure, temperature, weight systems) and suppliers like Endress & Hauser, IFM, Siemens, and Mettler Toledo.
7. Ability to generate electrical drawings, schedules, and project documentation.
8. Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
9. UK Driving Licence (site visits required).

Responsibilities:
1. Develop electrical & instrumentation specifications for process plants.
2. Collaborate with process engineers and suppliers to define instrumentation requirements.
3. Support sales with proposal preparation and cost estimation.
4. Oversee control panel manufacturing, testing, and approval.
5. Design electrical loop diagrams, cable routes, and layouts.
6. Configure and commission instruments, VSDs, and control networks.
7. Assist with site power-up, I/O testing, and commissioning.
8. Ensure compliance with hazardous area regulations (ATEX).
9. Manage project documentation and handover to clients.
