We’re supporting a family-run, growing care provider in their search for a Registered Manager to lead a well-established residential home. This home has a strong team and a homely feel, but it needs an experienced and proactive leader to drive positive change.
Key Responsibilities of a Home Manager:
Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the care home, ensuring the highest standards of care and compliance.
Improve CQC ratings by implementing best practices and meeting regulatory requirements.
Oversee staff development, training, and performance management to ensure a high-functioning team.
Maintain occupancy levels by enhancing the home’s reputation and handling private enquiries.
Ensure effective governance, risk management, and safeguarding procedures are in place.
Work closely with the owners to implement strategic improvements.
Home Manager Requirements:
Registered Manager experience in a residential care setting (or a strong Deputy ready to step up).
Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team in a challenging environment.
In-depth knowledge of CQC regulations and the single assessment framework.
A proactive, hands-on approach with strong problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage change effectively, addressing staff resistance and instilling best practices.
Excellent communication and leadership skills to foster a positive team culture.
