Job Duties:
* Provide individualised support to students with sensory impairments in educational settings
* Collaborate with teachers and staff to ensure students' needs are met
* Assist in the implementation of individual education plans
* Create a sensory-friendly learning environment
* Offer one-to-one support to students with sensory challenges
Required Qualifications:
* Relevant experience working with individuals with sensory impairments
* Understanding of different sensory needs and how to address them
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work effectively within a team
Education:
Minimum of a Level 3 qualification in a related field (e.g., Education, Special Education Needs)
Experience:
Previous experience working as a teaching assistant or in a similar role
Knowledge and Skills:
* Knowledge of sensory processing disorders
* Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual students' needs
* Organisational skills and attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications:
* Level 2 British Sign Language qualification
* Experience with assistive technology for sensory impairments
Working Conditions:
* Work primarily in educational settings such as schools or colleges
* May require flexible working hours to accommodate students' schedules
* Potential exposure to noise and sensory stimuli

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
