About the role
The Strategic Alliances Team in Computer Science is responsible for formulating, directing, and managing the engagement of the department at all levels with public and private industry for the purpose of knowledge transfer relevant to the commercial and/or strategic development of such organisations. Focus will be given to the collaboration with industry to secure industry-led projects and placements at all levels.
The Strategic Alliances Team oversees all industry funded activities and manages long-term strategic partnerships.
About you
The Strategic Partnerships and Innovation Manager for the Department of Computer Science is a member of the Strategic Alliances Team. The role holder provides the department’s Strategic Alliances Director with high-level administrative support for managing the engagement of departmental staff at all levels with the industry partners involved in students’ projects, sponsored research activities, partnerships in new research centres and programmes, outreach activities, and professional development activities organised by the department and targeted at external organisations. In addition, the role holder is responsible for managing a portfolio of innovation projects that help improve the experience of our customers and grow a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship in the department.
