About the role: This role sits within the Advanced Wound Care (AWC) franchise and sits in the AWC Global Marketing Core brands team and reports to the Senior Director Global Marketing AWC Core brands. The chosen candidate will be tasked with spearheading the strategy for the Global Aquacel Infection management portfolio, overseeing brand marketing activities, and driving lifecycle management development. This Brand is the biggest contributor to AWC sales being the market leader with global presence. You will enable Advanced Wound Care (AWC) to meet its annual budget targets and serve as the main contributor to the P&L within AWC. We operate in a highly dynamic team environment where new initiatives and AD-Hoc requests are frequent. The ideal candidate must possess the ability to prioritize tasks and manage conflicting priorities effectively. The companys emphasis on Digital transformation and commitment to simplification and Innovation may necessitate active participation in staying abreast of new tools, projects, and pilots. Despite being spearheaded by Digital/IT/MCoE, these initiatives will require input from Brand leads to ensure effectiveness in areas such as social media, websites, and email adaptations. Adaptability and flexibility are crucial for success in this role. Your key duties and responsibilities: The successful candidate should be independent and proactive in the below tasks: • Collaborating cross functionally with several internal stakeholders and departments like Marketing CoE, Supply Chain, Operations and Supply chain, QA, Clinical & Medical Affairs, Regulatory, Finance, Manufacturing, SFE, Digital, Training etc to ensure smooth delivery of activities • Influencing and supporting new FISBE markets with local and regional interaction as needed, to ensure localization and follow-up of ad-hoc projects • Developing of promotional campaigns ensuring smooth approval meeting timelines (leading MRL reviews) • Leading the roll out of Marketing Omnichannel campaigns across various regions/countries • Partnering with other external stakeholders like agencies, and 3rd party service providers • Accountable for supporting MDR (medical device regulation) • Providing input or leads projects as part of regular LCM (life cycle management) activities for the brand. Examples like packaging changes, development of variants or SKUs, rationalizations, discontinuation of product lines, back orders, etc • Supporting on global and sometimes regional/ local activities like conferences, congresses, and other related events from brand perspective • Taking full ownership and leadership to deliver projects end-to-end while monitoring impact and ROI. Regular interactions with the AWC global functions and regional and local teams to align with the local markets’ needs • Leading the current Infection management business in liaison with markets and internal stakeholders. Marketing focus ensuring sales/Short term focus 1-2 years ahead • LCM – work cross functionally with R&D, Innovation, Clinical, ESG teams to optimize the brand in mid- long term 2-5 years • AWC congresses, conferences, global summit local support of regional / local events, tender support • Understands our Customers and Consumers: Nurses, Physicians, Patients, Purchasers, including Regulatory and Market access / Reimbursement • Liaises with training colleagues to ensure materials and support needs are met • Understands and analyses the competitive landscape of competition globally • Identifies the market and innovation trends in the AWC category (Hydrofiber and antimicrobial/ antibiofilm) • Launches and leads the appropriate market research and VOC / insights generation initiatives to support current initiatives and LCM projects • Works with Medical and Clinical teams to ensure the clinical assets and upcoming publications are considered under an evidence generation roadmap • Builds strong yearly brand plans, contributor of strategic plans • Provides support for the Global Marketing 5-yr plans/ Category plans • Launches and leads appropriate market research and VOC / insights generation initiatives • Identifies the market and innovation trends in infection management/biofilm anticipating unmet needs and competition • Supports the Global brands and launch plans build up on the market insights and strategy parts • Leads the development of field execution tools and sales aids that help sales representatives effectively deliver the appropriate value message for the key brands to the appropriate audience. • Works with the digital team to align strategy and support content creation for the digital channel communication • Any other duties that may reasonably be required in line with your main duties Key requirements • International experience, either global or regional • Proven experience in leading complex global projects, in a matrix global organization working across various departments or stakeholders • Previous experience in strategic marketing roles and/or marketing positions (> 10 years) • Experience launching a brand globally or regionally • Experience in Pharma, medical devices or similar regulated. • Digital experience ( web, social media, Apps), understanding of digital channels and working with digital agencies • Understanding of Wound care, dermatology, is a plus • Business case development and analysis experience • Self-motivated and independent individual that can lead projects from ideation to full execution with limited support • Clear communication and influencing skills across a variety of stakeholder levels • Strategic vision, analytical skills, and big picture thinking • Ability to navigate easily in a matrix organization • Can do attitude, team player mindset – collaborative and engaging approach • Passion for customers and patients • Willing to make an impact on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at personal level and within the company activities • Experience managing and growing a team is a plus Qualifications/Education • University Degree in live Science (pharmacy, medicine, veterinary or biology). Ideally, the candidate needs to understand microbiology and other technical data related to the product • Post-graduate qualification desired, like accreditations in Marketing or Business science. Most trips will include overnight travel. Languages Speaking: English Writing/Reading: English Additional languages are nice to have Working conditions Hybrid working – 1 day per week in the office driven by business requirements as Convatec has a flexible approach to office working. Preferable location is Paddington as the rest of the team are based there and usually gather weekly, but this is not mandatory. Candidate can be based in other countries as this is a global role.
