We have partnered with a leading company in the construction and electrical sector, dedicated to delivering high-quality infrastructure projects. Their expertise spans across various domains, with a particular focus on substations up to 132kV. As part of their continued growth, they are seeking a skilled and experienced Site Manager to oversee new build and refurbishment works on substations within East Anglia.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage and oversee the construction and refurbishment of substation projects up to 132kV, ensuring all work is completed to the highest standards and within project timelines.
2. Coordinate and supervise on-site activities, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
3. Liaise with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and project delivery.
4. Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
5. Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure quality control and adherence to project specifications.
6. Resolve any issues or challenges that arise during the construction process, implementing effective solutions promptly.
7. Prepare and present progress reports to senior management and clients, highlighting key achievements, risks, and mitigation strategies.
Requirements:
1. Proven experience in managing construction projects within the electrical sector, ideally with specific experience in substation work up to 132kV.
2. Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations, construction methodologies, and project management principles.
3. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team.
4. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building strong relationships with clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
5. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
6. Proficient in project management software and tools, with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
7. Relevant qualifications in construction management, electrical engineering, or a related field are highly desirable.
