Qualified Social Worker – Children in Care – Buckinghamshire Location: Buckinghamshire Pay: From to £38 per hour Contract: Full-Time Locum Are you a passionate and experienced Social Worker looking to make a real impact in the lives of children in care? Buckinghamshire Council is seeking a Qualified Social Worker to join their Children in Care Team, providing vital support and advocacy for looked after children. Key Responsibilities: ✔ Conduct thorough assessments of children’s needs and risks, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and statutory guidelines. ✔ Develop and implement child-centred care plans, working closely with multi-agency teams to secure the best outcomes. ✔ Regularly review and monitor progress, making necessary adjustments to support services and interventions. ✔ Provide direct support and guidance to children and their families, fostering positive relationships and stability. ✔ Advocate for children in care, ensuring their voices are heard in reviews, court proceedings, and professional meetings. ✔ Maintain accurate, up-to-date records in line with statutory requirements. Requirements: Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England (SWE) registration. At least 3 years’ post-ASYE experience within children’s services, with a focus on Children in Care. Strong knowledge of Children Act 1989, Care Planning Regulations, and other relevant legislation. Excellent assessment, communication, and analytical skills. Ability to manage a caseload effectively in a fast-paced environment.
