About the Job
Our Centre is open 7 days per week between 8am-8pm and we are searching for permanent ACP’s – either part-time or full-time. You will work as part of a team within the Brighton Station Health Centre. We need team members who are able to work with urgent care patients in our Walk-in Centre as well as with our registered patients in our GP service. This role gives you a chance to develop your experiences and work with a mixture of patient types and conditions in an outpatient environment.
As an Advanced Clinical Practitioner, you will be utilising expert diagnostic and clinical skills to provide autonomous, unscheduled medical care and management of patients presenting with acute undifferentiated and undiagnosed conditions, complex health needs and/or long-term conditions.
You will be required to work within Clinical Guidelines, Policies, Procedures and utilise expert judgment to work outside these frameworks where necessary. You must be a Prescriber, within professional competence, ensuring that all duties in relation to medicines management meet required professional and Practice Plus Group standards.
What you'll be doing
In addition to unregistered walk-in patients, we have around 10,000 registered GP service patients consisting of a young and diverse demographic. The ideal candidate will be capable of working with both our registered and unregistered cohorts.
You will be accountable for your own practice in face-to-face, telephone or video encounters including the assessment, diagnosis, treatment and discharge or referral of patients, independent of medical intervention.
What we'll need from you
* Be an autonomous Nurse Practitioner with a patient assessment qualification and recent work experience within a Primary/Urgent Care environment.
* Hold an independent prescribing qualification.
* Hold an NMC Pin.
* Experience in diagnosis and management of short and long-term conditions.
