We're looking for a current Hafod colleague to join our Asset Management Team as a Stock Condition Specialist !
T his position is open for Hafod colleagues to apply only and is initially offered as an 18 month secondment, working 36 hours per week. You’ll return to your substantive post afterwards, with all your new experience and skills in tow - what a fantastic development opportunity!
This role offers a salary of £39,444.30 per annum, plus generous benefits. This position would mostly be based on our various sites in south Wales with some option to work from our Head Office in Culverhouse Cross and from home.
With over 6000 homes and supported and care facilities across south Wales and an ever-growing portfolio of assets, the team’s aim is to ensure that our properties are well maintained and moving towards our decarbonisation and energy efficiency goals. What you'll do
There’ll be plenty of opportunity to get out and about, meeting our customers on site and carrying out assessments to their homes. We aim to carry out stock condition surveys on approximately 20% of our stock each year and you’ll have the freedom to manage your own diary, working with competing priorities to visit sites and ensure our housing stock is well maintained.
You’ll also play a key role in helping us become more energy efficient by undertaking retrofit and energy assessments.Working with colleagues to ensure the condition of each home, block and scheme is reflected accurately within the asset / attribute register.

What you'll need
Your proven knowledge of domestic building construction methods and pathology will allow you flourish in this role. You’ll be confident with building effective relationships and communicating well with residents, colleagues and contractors.
You’ll need to be tech savvy as stock condition surveys will be carried out via a tablet, where you’ll read and upload information to ensure all the details are documented correctly.
A valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential for this role.
