Job Description
Reporting into the Head of Wholesale; this is a newly created strategic role within the Procurement Team. The role will be responsible for procurement activities and strategic sourcing across multiple vending disciplines: Self-serve Food & Beverage, tender support, equipment purchasing/leasing, technical service, route vending and contract management. This new role offers future potential for progression and line management.
Key accountabilities include:
* Managing the vending category and driving growth
* Developing and implementing category strategies that optimise spend, increase purchasing income and deliver strategic value
* Manage complex tender processes, leveraging cross-category insights and negotiation strategies
* Contract management at supplier and operational levels
* Create and maintain a robust supplier performance evaluation framework
* Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers across national, regional and potentially international level
* Supporting cross functional projects that drive efficiencies and innovation
* Ensure procurement activities adhere to internal policies and external regulatory requirements, especially around data protection
* Leverage technology and digital tools to enhance procurement effectiveness
* Building and maintaining relationships with key business stakeholders
* Influencing key business decision makers and bringing them on board with procurement category strategies while also taking into account business needs and requirements
Qualifications
What we need from you:
* 5-7 years procurement experience
* Proven track record & knowledge of 'all things vending'
* Ability to carry out category management and expertise in strategic sourcing
* Understanding of procurement compliance requirements
* Technology and digital services knowledge
* Advanced understanding of contract negotiation principles
* Data Protection Regulation understanding
* Based in the Reading Office at least 3 days per week with 2 days flexible between the London Office, site and supplier visits, and working from home.

* Salary £45,000 to £55,000 per annum dependent on experience
